In this picture I can see a British Airways aircraft that had experienced an emergency situation, all of the escape slides are inflated and firemen are spraying foam on the aircraft probably to extinguish the fire.
The left wing was severely damaged. This appears to have been a very serious situation.
In the background I can see a fire truck, part of the runway and some grass.
In the foreground I can see part of the runway, firefighters and fire hoses.
This can be caused by Fuel starvation caused by ice.
The consequences were they landed short of runway and 47 people were injured luckily nobody was killed.
The procedures for a fuel starvation are to land as soon as possible in the best possible place such as an airport, field even a river.

What can caused an engine failure?
I think an engine failure can be caused by many things such as fuel starvation as I mentioned in the picture, a bird ingestion or an engine malfunction. I think it’s a very dangerous situation to face.
