Picture 26

In this picture I can see a Boeing 737. The radome is dented and chipped and the windshield is cracked. The aircraft is white and the engine cowling is red I believe this aircraft belongs to Easyjet.

The 737 is in a maintenance hangar probably to be repaired.

In the background I can see windows and the maintenance hangar wall, next to the aircraft there is a small table.

This was probably caused by a hail strike.

The consequences can be loss of systems such as the weather radar, panic on-board and the aircraft will be grounded.

If I were the pilot in this situation first I would contact the control then I would divert to the nearest airport and finally, I would try to land safely.

I have never had this situation.

I have had this situation. (Explain)

Many pilots would consider hail one of the worst weather conditions a pilot can face to what extent do you agree with this statement ?

I agree as hail can damage the aircraft severely and it can cause a very dangerous situation during a flight.
