In this picture I can see a wide body aircraft wing dumping fuel.
The wing is white, I said that it’s a wide body aircraft because its dumping fuel and only wide body aircraft can dump fuel.
In the background I can see the sky that is clear the day appears to be beautiful. I can also see a military jet that is intercepting the aircraft.
Fuel dumping can be caused by: Any problem that could cause an emergency landing so the pilots would decide to dump fuel to prevent an overweight landing.
The consequences of dumping fuel can be:
- Flight cancelations and diversions.
- It can be a consequence of a more serious problem onboard.
- Fuel dumping is an expensive loss for the company.
- The pilots must follow the procedures for fuel dumping in the quick reference handbook.

What impact does fuel dumping have on the environment ?
Fuel dumping is bad for the environment as any type of fuel being dumped pollutes, but fuel dumping must be done in a controlled area in Sao Paulo it’s over the ocean in Santos.
