Picture 13

In this picture I can see a KLM Boeing 747 landing on a runway covered in snow.

The aircraft is four colours the top of it is light blue the middle navy blue and white and the belly is silver.

This aircraft is a wide-body passenger carrier, it has four engines. The aircraft landing lights are on.

In the background I can see that the sky appears to be overcast.

In the foreground I can see the runway and on the right-hand side I can see the runway lights.

This is not an emergency situation but if the pilots are not fully prepared the consequences can be a runway excursion that can lead to a dangerous situation.

This photo was taken in a place that suffers extreme winters, in Brazil we do not experience such harsh winters.

I have never had this situation.

I have had this situation. (Explain)

What special training do pilots need for winter operations?

In my opinion, pilots need simulator training to be prepared to operate in such conditions.
