In this picture I can see a photo that was taken inside a wide-body aircraft
The aircraft probably had a decompression because all of the oxygen masks are deployed.
There are passengers in their seats but none seem to be in panic or using the oxygen masks.
Maybe this was a training session.
This can be caused by:
- Structural damage
- A door seal failure
- Material fatigue.
The consequences can be:
- Panic on board
- A disaster
- and the aircraft can be written off.
If I were the pilot first i would put on my oxygen mask, then start to descend and finally I would inform the controller.

What are the flight attendants responsibilities in a decompression?
In my opinion, the flight attendants are responsible for ensuring all passengers are using the masks, and inform the pilots about the situation in the cabin.
Many pilots consider this is dangerous situation. Do you agree or disagree ? Why?
I agree because it could result in a disaster.
How do you think technology will improve in the future to prevent a situation like this?
In my opinion, there will be more warning sounds and lights to warn the pilots and aircraft will be built with stronger materials.
