In this picture I can see the interior of a helicopter simulator set.
I can see one of the pilots looking outside. In front of him it’s possible to see a glass cockpit with three screens and the EFIS showing the airspeed, altitude, pitch and roll of the aircraft.
Through the windshield I can see a clear sky and a calm ocean as well as a platform with a green helipad surrounded by a white metal structure.
The aircraft seems to be on approach to land.
In your opinion, what was happening before this picture was taken?
Before this picture was taken, I believe the flight instructor was setting a situation for the pilot to practice.
Imagine this picture was taken now, what will happen next?
Well, in the next few moments the pilot will be cleared for landing and receive the pitch, roll and heave for the platform so they can perform a safe landing. After that, the flight instructor will set an emergency situation or several of them.
